About
A group of students and researchers founded the International Congress of the Astronomical Youth in response to the growing lack of interest in science. The sad reality of young people’s lack of communication and involvement due to the many complications and barriers, both institutional and social, is at the source of the ICAY. It is our sincere wish to enable everyone to reconnect with this knowledge.
Progress of the event
Over four days, on 15, 16, 17 and 18 of July 2025, the congress will be held in Paris, giving the opportunity for students and researchers to share their works and ideas. They will come from the four corners of the world, each representing the cultural and scientific diversity of their country. Lectures, round tables and visits to emblematic sites in astronomy will follow one after the other, to build strong links and new international projects together. Furthermore, a gala will be organized to hollow everybody to meet each other easily in a great atmosphere. The preliminary schedule of the congress, available here, is subject to change. The official program of the event will be published at the begining of May. We would like to thank our scientific committee for their hard work. The ICAY is made possible by the work of the Comité Restreint (CoRe), a joint body shared by the Société Astronomique de France and several members of scientific and research entities.
