Alexandre Bellon

General Coordination

As a student at the Classe Préparatoires aux Grandes Ecoles, wishing to contribute to a better understanding of quantum physics in curved space, he has been general coordinator of the ICAY since the beginning of this project. He founded the SAF's Hard Sciences Working Group, which provides access to high-level courses in physics and fundamental mathematics, including relativity, quantum field theory and Lie algebra. Through this congress, he hopes to make it possible to create unbreakable links, projects and agreements within the future international scientific community.

Merlin Héré––Cuzon

General Coordination

Inspired by the sciences from an early age, he planned to carry out mathematical physics research into quantum cosmology, and more specifically into the quantum aspects of gravitation. To this end, he is studying in a science preparatory class. He founded the Groupe de travail sur les Sciences Dures de la Société Astronomique de France, giving everyone access to Masters-level courses in the fundamental sciences. He has also been general coordinator of the ICAY since the project's inception, and through this action, he intends to contribute actively to the development of the future global research community, by forging stronger links between researchers and students.

Hélène Courtois

Patron

Hélène Courtois is a specialist in cosmography, best known for her discovery of Laniakea - our supercluster of galaxies - and for her model maps of the distribution of dark matter in the universe.
She conducts her research at the Institut de Physique des 2 Infinis in Lyon (IP2I). As a member of the International Astronomical Union and the Institut Universitaire de France, she is also very involved with students, particularly as Professor and Vice-President of Claude Bernard Lyon-1 University.
She is continuing her work by supportin the ICAY and International scientist youth through this congress.

Jean-Philippe Uzan

Patron

Jean-Philippe Uzan is director of research in theoretical physics at the CNRS. He works at the Paris Institute of Astrophysics. A specialist in cosmology and gravitation, he has worked on numerous theoretical and observational cosmology problems, as well as on tests of general relativity and the equivalence principle, both in the solar system and on astrophysical scales. solar system and on astrophysical scales. He has written several monographs and many popular works, including some for young readers. He is committed to disseminating knowledge, particularly to the SAF via the Petits Cueilleurs d'étoiles and the Montreurs d'étoiles. He seeks to spread scientific culture as widely as possible by working with artists, in particular through music and theatre. His latest books are L'Harmonie secrète de l'univers (La ville Brûle, 2017) and Big Bang (Flammarion, 2018).

Pierre Palat

Coordination Administrative Management Committee

Graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris, he has spent his entire professional career in the service of the State. At the same time, he taught rational mechanics at the Ecole des Mines de Saint Etienne and the INSA in Rouen. He has also held elected office: mayor of the commune of Sorigny (Indre et Loire) and chairman of the Val de l'Indre community of communes from 2001 to 2008. As a member of the SAF, of which he has been treasurer for the past two years, he is particularly interested in cosmology, along with Alexandre Bellon and Merlin Héré––Cuzon, he founded the Hard Sciences Working Group.

Kristen Ray

Logistics Steering Committee Coordination

A member of the Société Astronomique de France since 2021, I am studying mathematics and computer science. I have the opportunity to participate in the ICAY and take on the role of project manager for creating a promotional clip for the SAF, in recognition of my identified skills. As Secretary of the Youth Commission, I strive to contribute constructively to the development of young people in the practice of astronomy. My involvement in projects such as the ICAY bears witness to this. I've had a passion for astronomy since I was a child. I'm also involved in participatory research and sharing my skills in astrophotography through training courses and conferences, strengthening my commitment to this community.

Hugo Avondo

Graphic designer

Avondo Hugo, 18, art direction student, and graphic designer for ICAY. I'm a young graphic designer who recently started studying graphic design in Paris. As far as my involvement in the project is concerned, I'm in charge of working on the graphic identity of the ICAY website and all the promotional posters. I'm very happy to be working on this project, which is very close to my heart.

Mathéo Galuba

Developer

A computer science student specialising in 3D imaging, Mathéo is continuing to broaden his skills in the field of artificial intelligence. Currently working as a web developer for ICAY, Mathéo strives to merge his IT knowledge with his deep interest in space.
An amateur astronomer and member of the Société Astronomique de France, his passion for astronomy dates back to his earliest years. His long-term ambition is to merge computer science with his fascination for the universe.

Charlotte Mayoud

Room and Stage

I'm currently supplementing the technical skills I gained in my DUT in Physical Measurements with a degree in Performing Arts, which is helping to develop my artistic sensibility. I've had a lot of professional experience in lighting management, including volunteering at a festival in Clermont-Ferrand, doing live lighting effects, and doing a work placement at the Opéra-Théâtre in the same town. Creative and serious, I try to seize every opportunity that comes my way. That's why I'm in charge of the stage and hall at the ICAY.

Morgane Drouot

Recording

Morgane is a 3rd year Bachelor of Cinema student in Paris, who loves to take part in all kinds of exciting projects, and the ICAY is one of them. She is in charge of recording the event. Although she's already directed fiction projects, she's never done a conference shoot before, so this is a big first! She intends to do her best to live up to the inspiring people around her.
In the future, she hopes to broaden and develop her cinematographic skills and knowledge.
